Alrighty then. Time for another challenge, I've pondered it long enough. Going with the time of year, so holiday is our theme, ornaments is the challenge. 3 shots.

2. Ornament(s) out of context.
3. Abstract ornament(s). Interpret it however you want, I'm not even entirely certain how I mean it.

This is my favorite single-leaf photo that I took this week.

Challenge 1: autumn leaves

Okay JK I am issuing our first challenge! Take pictures of autumn leaves, getting at least one shot you love in each category:

1. Close-up on a single leaf
2. Focus on one tree
3. Broad landscape. (Or, you know, multiple trees, whatever.)

Maya

Taken with Nikon D5000 kit lens, auto everything because I still have no idea what I am doing!

My lone attempt at something a little broader, mixed results. I like the sea and clouds, but somehow the composition just doesn't work for me.

Trying a different layout style for the photos. Another macro shot, auto settings. Really need to change it up, but I kind of like this one.

Another Flower

My attempt at using the macro setting on the camera, all other settings were on auto.

Orchid

The orchid dropped all of its flowers a few hours after I took this. My husband says it must be the camera's fault.
